In the book Tomclancey's splintercell aftermath blacklist The author peter telep demonstrated That being ready means to prepare for the best and worst case senario's and not one especially when other people are counting on you. For example when searching for a stolen bomb they weren't prepared for the bomb to be a fake and for the real bomb to be being tranported to another locatian getting people killed in the mean time. When they finally got to the bomb the were prepared for the worst and was ready for when the bomb had derailed the train and they were able to save innocent people.- Hayden

But, Sahmeed pointed out that it wan Alex. Also, friendship is shown when Lani takes Sahmeed back to Arteme because he was hurt. Finally, the author explores the idea of friendship when Alex drew a door to get to his brother. When Aaron shows a little bit of belief that is brother is alive Alex has a glimmer of hope, that his brother believes that he is alive.

In the One, by Kiera Cass, the author shows the main character by having America Singer (participant in the selection) do a constriction to move on in the selection. Doing the constriction meant that you had to send a guilty man to jail. America had to send a man to jail for life for stealing some clothes for his daughters, but she didn't want to send him to jail for benifiting for his family. She had to otherwise she would leave the selection so she gave him a piece of jewlery the prince gave her and sent the guilty man to jail. This is an example of how much American cares about the citizens of Illea. Another example is, since she has been in the selection, her main goal (after getting married to the prince) was to dissolve the castes which are ranks from rich (2-4) to poor (5-8). In conclusion, the aruthor Kiera Cass shows America performing acts of equality in many places of this book.

In the book Legend, the author, Marie Lu presents the idea that the theme is trust. One piece of evidence from the text is when June betrays Day by lying to him about who she really is in order to capture him. June secretly calls Thomas and tells him to send in military trucks and take Day and his family away on page 142. This shows that you can't trust everyone that you meet. Another example is on page 166 when Day reflects about why he was so foolish to trust June. This supports the theme trust because June turned out be out to be undercover and untrustworthy. Clearly the theme is trust because characters in the book keep putting the life in other characters hands, and betraying each other.
-Gavin Karden

By Joelle Charboneau

---------------------------------------------
In Graduation Day the author Joelle Charbonneau explores the idea the trust cannot be with everyone. As in you have to be careful who you trust because if you make the wrong choice it can come back later and hurt you and those you love. For example, in the book, during the 4th stage of the testing Cia trusts Will and Will betrays them and shoots Tomas in the stomach almost killing him. But Cia was there adn she persevered and they passed the test anyway. Now Will has remembered his testing memories he realizes that the only reason he caused harm to Cia and Tomas was because he lost his twin brother Will. Now Will has redeemed himself and Cia has almost regained full trust in him. This shows that if you trust someone they can come back around and betray you just to succeed or to get what they want. Finally, the author explores the idea of trust. For exapmle, when Cia takes too long to trust Enzo Stacia takes matters into her own hands, and Enzo almost dies because of it. Which shows that Stacia can't be trusted and she almost killed a friend. Clearly, the theme in Graduation Day by Joelle Charbonneau is that trust means that that person can be trusted with anything, abd that is because you have faith in them.

An example of this is When the main character Blade finds out that he is adopted. Later on he goes back home to tell his parents that they should have told him earlier in his life while he is on his way back he finds out his girlfriend Chapel is cheating on him that when he goes bazerk. usually he will play music to revive him but he smashes his guitar on the wall and decided he is going to make a change in his life. For the third and final example when he flew to Africa to avoid his family and meet his real mother but his dad fly's down without Blade knowing and ruins everything and it goes with him never giving up and he made the best out of the situation

Camp Doman

Finally the author explores the idea of survival when Magnus's Chase friends distract a army of giants and the undead to maximize Magnus's chance for survival. which shows his friends have a deep friendship with him being willing to sacrifice them self for him so clearly the theme for The Ship Of The Dead by Rick Riordan is that friendship and survival means doing willing to do whatever it takes to help others. - Allen

In "Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment" the author James Patterson demonstrates the idea that family means sacrificing yourself for each other especially when one of your members are in trouble. This is shown when Max makes Angel escape the Erasers first before saving herself. Erasers: blood thirsty half man, half wolf, are very dangerous to the bird-human mutants Max and her flock are. Another way that family is shown in the book is how the flock never separates unless splitting up is inevitable. Finally, the author explores the idea of family when Angel gets kidnapped and the flock goes searching for Angel, which shows that the flock is protective over one another. Clearly, the theme in "Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment" by James Patterson is that family means sacrificing yourself for each other.

In the book Tomclancey's splinter-cell aftermath blacklist The author peter telep demonstrated That being ready means to prepare for the best and worst case scenario's and not one especially when other people are counting on you. For example when searching for a stolen bomb they weren't prepared for the bomb to be a fake and for the real bomb to be being transported to another location getting people killed in the mean time. When they finally got to the bomb the were prepared for the worst and was ready for when the bomb had derailed the train and they were able to save innocent people. Finally the author demon separates the idea of being prepared when they were cashing down a rouge operator That was trying to lead them into an ambush but they prepared for the worst and sent someone around the tunnel and one to chase the guy through the tunnel. Clearly the theme in tomclancey's splinter cell after math by peter telep is to be prepared for the worst and the best - Hayden

In the book "The Turn of the Tide" by Rosanne Parry, the author explores the idea that friendship/loyalty means doing things that may be hard to do especially when your friends need help. For example, Kai shows friendship/loyalty when he helps Jet sail and train together for the Treasure Island Race even though he is afraid of the water because of a tsunami he endured shortly before (losing his grandparents during it). Another example of friendship is shown by Jet. She tries to be sensitive when talking to Kai and not mention anything that may remind him of the tsunami. She also tries to be patient with Kai when sailing, who sometimes shows reluctance to go into the water, which is needed.
Clearly, the theme in "The Turn of the Tide" by Rosanne Parry is that friendship/loyalty means doing things that may be hard to do, especially for friends that need your help.

In The Cay by Theodore Taylor, the author presents the idea that survival means trying to live under the difficult circumstances, especially when there might be a chance to make it out alive. This is shown when Phillip and Timothy get stranded on an island with little food, water, and resources available, after the ship they were on gets torpedoed. Matters are made even worse when Phillip loses his sight and has to survive on an uninhabited island with barely any resources, with Timothy.

Another theme in The Cay by Theodore Taylor, is unlikely friendship. The author explores the idea that strong friendships can be made from unlikely situations. This is shown when, in the beginning, Phillip did not like Timothy because he was dark-skinned, old, ugly, and different, but as Phillip got to know Timothy, he realized that Timothy was selfless, caring, understanding, generous, and patient. It didn't matter that Timothy was different, he grew to be Phillip's best friend.
