Problem to solve

You can buy second hand, use for a long time and you can sell and give away stuff that is still usable. BUT... many clothes (and products) reach a point where they are not ready for recycling but are not fit for reuse either. They need repair or upcycling. But if the owner doesn't want them anymore, he/she probably won't make an effort to fix them - just to be able to give them away. I see this a lot with my own stuff. Do I really find the time to change a zipper in my sons outgrown jacket, just to be able to give it away?

Dream:I dream of a chain of small local shops that can repair garment and possibly also other stuff or take it in, repair or redesign and sell. It would also have a line of unique accessories and childrens clothes made out of discarded garments. There should be community building repair and upcycle events to inspire and teach .

Create pleasant, local, physical space where people can meet and in an easy and accessible way, both get rid of items they no longer need, get repair service and find new "pre-loved" items.
The space would contribute to the community with meeting places for e.g sustainability education, workshops on up-cycling and repair etc.
Both repair and second hand shopping are economical alternatives for the users and an important contribution to a more sustainable community.
Ideally the business can help with repair of other products as well.
The line of own design made from old garments or textiles.will contribute to the idea of upcycling.
