"Annuraaq" is the Inuktitut word meaning "an article of clothing" They typically wore long dresses made of animal skins. Also they often wore their hair in long braids or loops.

The Inuit tribe would wear warm fur covered clothing that often was very long.  They would wear this style of clothing because it is often very cold.

Inuit Housing

The Inuits didn't stay in one place for very long, so their houses were easy to take down and build. Inuit housing was made of skin or snow depending on the season. The Inuits lived in igloos in the winter and animal skins stretched over frames in the summer.

The Inuit tribe did not have a lot of territory compared to the tribes around them. In the map above you can see that the Nunavut tribe which was their neighbors had a lot more territory than they did. -Aidan

The houses reflect the environment and climate because the houses cannot be made out of wood in the Arctic, as there are not many trees. So using their resources, they used snow in the winter, and skin and frames in the summer. -Elizabeth Van Dick

Canada has a cold climate with ice and snow everywhere and so they could not grow food. They had to hunt and go ice fishing. They hunted Caribu, fish, seal, walrus, and polar bears.-Aidan
