First, we delegated the tasks through an online meeting. We discussed the contents for the poster, decided on a Canva template, and set deadlines for completing all tasks before the presentation.

On the day of the presentation, we took turns explaining the reasons. All of our friends paid full attention to our presentation. It is pleasant to see everyone focusing to understand our topic better.

• Definition and Evolution

  • Adab, in the modern Arab world, signifies “literature.”

  • Originally meant “norm of conduct” or “custom,” evolving to include good breeding, courtesy, and urbanity.

  • Developed during the Abbasid culture's height in the 9th century and continued through the Middle Ages.

• Intellectual Aspect

  • Adab encompasses poetry, oratory, tribal history, rhetoric, grammar, philology, and knowledge of non-Arab civilizations.

  • A well-bred man, or adīb, was knowledgeable in these areas and produced erudite literature.

  • Notable writers include al-Jāḥiẓ, Abū Hayyān al-Tawḥīdī, Ibn Qutaybah, and al-Maʿarrī.

1. Perfect Source of Guidance

• Quran's Revelation

  • Last book of Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) over 23 years by Angel Gabriel.

  • Unique in being for all humanity, without any changes since its revelation.

2. Book of the Creator of this World

• Quran is from Almighty Allah, Creator of the universe.

• Provides perfect guidance like His blessings benefit mankind.

• Quran Addresses Human Differences

  • "Whatever difference human beings have, the decision is with Allah.” [42:10]

  • Problems arise from lack of true guidance; Quran offers perfect advice.

1. Shahada (Faith or Declaration of Faith)

• The Shahada is a declaration that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is his messenger.

• Reciting it sincerely is the first step to becoming a Muslim.

• It is the most important pillar because it affirms the unity of God and the prophethood of Muhammad.

2. Salah (Prayer):

• Muslims perform five daily prayers, facing the Kaaba in Mecca, at specific times.

• Each prayer includes physical and verbal actions, such as reciting Quranic verses and supplications.

• Prayer serves as a direct link between the worshipper and Allah, providing spiritual purification and communication.

  
  

3. Zakat (Almsgiving):

• Zakat is the obligation to give a portion of one's wealth to those in need, typically 2.5% of savings and assets after deducting necessary expenses.

• It is a form of social welfare and purifies one's wealth.

4. Sawm (Fasting during Ramadan):

• Sawm refers to fasting during the month of Ramadan.

• Muslims abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn until sunset.

5. Hajj (Pilgrimage to Mecca):

• Every adult Muslim who is physically and financially capable is required to undertake the pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in their lifetime.

• The Hajj involves a series of rituals, including circumambulation of the Kaaba and symbolic stoning of the devil.

• It is a profound spiritual journey and a demonstration of unity and equality among Muslims.

• Believe in the Heart: Believe that every test from Allah is to strengthen faith and remove all sins.

• Patience and Contentment: Practice patience and contentment in the face of adversity.

1. Importance of Adab Towards Parents

• Respect and Gratitude: Islam emphasizes the importance of showing kindness and respect to parents, even over acts of religious devotion.

• Recognition of Parental Sacrifices: Parents, especially mothers, make significant sacrifices in raising their children. Islam acknowledges these sacrifices and encourages children to reciprocate with respect and gratitude.

• Speak Kindly: Always speak to your parents politely and gently. Avoid harsh language.

• Obedience: Obey your parents' requests and instructions promptly. Respect their guidance as long as it does not contradict Islamic principles.

• Fulfill Outstanding Obligations: Carry out any outstanding vows or agreements made by your parents.

• Make Dua for Them: Pray for the forgiveness and mercy of Allah upon your deceased parents.

• Show Respect: Treat your deceased parents with respect and dignity, even if they were non-Muslims.

2. Sit for the CFA Exam:

   Achieving the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is a significant milestone in my career aspirations. The CFA exam is renowned for its rigorous curriculum and is highly respected in the finance industry. By obtaining this certification, I will demonstrate my commitment to excellence and deep understanding of financial analysis, portfolio management, and ethical standards.

3. Start Trading with Real Money:

   Another key goal is to start trading with real money in the financial markets. This hands-on experience will allow me to apply the theoretical knowledge I have acquired in real-world scenarios. Trading with real money will help me develop a keen understanding of market dynamics, risk management, and investment strategies

Completing all the tasks for the usrah subject has been incredibly rewarding. Initially, I felt overwhelmed by the assignments, but I soon appreciated the valuable lessons they offered. Each task helped me reflect on my values and beliefs, fostering a deeper understanding of myself.

Working with my peers was a highlight, as it provided diverse perspectives and strengthened our sense of community. The support from my lecturer and classmates motivated me to put forth my best effort. With each completed assignment, my confidence and pride grew. The usrah subject enriched my knowledge and character, leaving me with a sense of achievement and gratitude.

In conclusion, finishing these tasks has been transformative. I am grateful for the guidance and support, and I look forward to applying these lessons in the future.
