When and where did soccer originate?

Soccer originated in Britain in the 19th century. Still called "Football" in every country other than the US, Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. "Folk Football" was popular since before medieval times and changed little in its origins since then. First classified as a winter sport, universities such as Winchester, Charterhouse, and Eton had their own rules and regulations. Soccer is the most popular sport known to man, and has been loved and revered for centuries.

In 352 the dimples were arranged in a Tetrahedral staggered pattern. Originally golf balls were smooth and when used enough times they developed dings and dents and that resulted in the golf ball flying in a better pattern for the golfer. In 1908 they used brambles but then it was changed to dimples for better aerodynamics.

In 1947 Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier as the first black player in MLB history. Robinson led other ballplayers to play in southern towns and ballparks. He was a controversial opponent of racial discrimination. He set the stage for more racial diversity in baseball and other sports. Many top players in these sports were reluctant to accept this change.
