1. Stands out as this untouched very worth man on a horse whereas the other men in the background are bent other trying to protect themselves. Napoleon has no need to protect himself because he is so powerful. The clothes he is wearing look very expensive and nice.
2. You can see a woman clinging to Napoleon. Everyone on the boat looks terrified for their life and Napoleon has sort of a brave look and is standing strong
3. On a grand chariot with a leaf crown, standing besides him is what looks to be an angel. This shows how Napoleon is worthy enough to be on a chariot with an angel. There are women around him dancing while others are playing music. As if his presence is a celebration.

I think the best and most convincing form of propaganda for Napoleon is the third image with the chariot because Napoleon is in the center of the painting, showing that he is great, powerful, and important. He is surrounded by Gods, which shows that he is like a God because he is so benevolent. Also, everyone is surrounding him and gathered to see him and it looks like they are all happy to see him.

I think that the French Revolution was the first time in history that propaganda was used on a widespread scale because this was one of the first times that the all world was involved in a war, so there were so many sides of the story to hear. Therefore, there was so much propaganda because there were many different aspects of the Revolution that supported one side or the other.

I think the 3rd painting probably, because he is pictured being worshipped and fully respected by his people
2. I think that this time period was really important for propaganda because the French wanted to show the whole world that their leader was the best and should be respected

1. The most convincing painting of Napoleon is the first one, because of the following aspects. He is wearing clothing that are obviously only belonging to one that has a lot of wealth. They are very colorful, and attract the eye. He is in a very bold position and looks like he is conquering the entire mountain range because he seems to be larger than the mountains in the back. He is the only aspect in the photo that is in focus. He is pointing upwards to possibly symbolize that France would only improve and go up from the point that it was at.

2. I think propaganda was sprung in the French Revolution because there was a contrast of ideas, and a lot of controversial points regarding Napoleon. There were many different thoughts and viewpoints, so people were constantly in battle over who was correct. T

I think this because he is up on a chariot which makes him above everyone and he is surrounded by women and naked babies that are holding what could be an olive branch which can symbolize victory
2.)

Painting 1: Napoleon is the most colorful thing in the picture which makes him the most important. He's also riding a horse and looking regal and impressive.
Painting 2: Napoleon is helping the people in the boat and saving them from the flood so he is good. He has a feathery hat and looks like he knows what to do to take care of them and it's like he's one of them.
Painting 3: He's in a chariot which reminds me of Rome. They conquered and are responsible for some great things and ruling pretty well for the most part. He's higher up than the peasants and regular people and doesn't have to walk as he has horses pulling him. Everyone looks like they love him.
4. I believe either the first or third are the best forms of propaganda as they depict him as regal and a good leader. He looks almost holy in the third one.
5. I believe it was because Napoleon had a lot of people to reign and this could help make his job easier as people would be more inclined to trust him.

The first shows him riding a horse which could be average because you are not compared to the rest of the crowd. The second picture he is shown helping others but that doesn't necessary show great importance. The third shows him in the center with many people revolving around him. This shows he is very popular with many people taking him somewhere. He is transported and surrounded by all ages and different types of people.
2. I think that propaganda was sprung from the French Revolution because there were many people that didn't support Napoleon. Because of this, they needed to create something that supported Napoleon. They created the propaganda so that Napoleon gained more support and was favored more.

1. I think Napoleon crossing the alps is the best example of propaganda because he is depicted larger than everything in the painting almost even the mountains. The colors are all muted, except those making up his clothing showing not only his importance but his wealth.
2. I think propaganda became more frequently used during the french revolution because there were so many new and contrasting ideas/opinions. I think any of it that supported Napoleon was to reinforce the idea that he held the most power and to control how the people from all over thought of him.

1.) I think that the second picture in which Napoleon is shown saving the women and children seems to be the the most convincing form of propaganda. You can tell that amidst everyone's fear and anxiety Napoleon is stepping up to save them. Two of the children look at him devotedly as if he is their savior. Also, by putting children in the picture, people view him as such a hero because he's stepping up to save the poor babies from the war and terror.
2.) I think that propaganda really sprung up during the French Revolution because the people who were supporting Napoleon wanted to prove their point that Napoleon was in fact the best leader.

1. Napoleon is wearing a large piece of cloth as a cape in the first photo, but he seems to be in battle and that clothing would be impractical to fight in. This is obviously not what it looks like in battle, but it is making him seem regal and brave at the same time. He is also pointing as if he was leading his soldiers but there are soldiers already fighting in front of him which reveals that he may not have been front leading them.
2. In the second photo there are men, including Napoleon, saving women and children by getting them out in boats. This portrays Napoleon as a savior. He is also holding a child so it appeals to women and helps attain their vote because of a mother and child's love.
3. The third photo makes him seem extremely powerful and mighty because he is also surrounded by women which was praised during that time.

While, in The Flood, Napoleon is not the main figure. He is saving a child during the flood and helping other people instead of himself. So when you you look at the Flood, you think of what a amazing and self sacrificing leader Napoleon is.
2. Propaganda sprung for the first time during the french revolution because Napoleon was leader. Napoleon wanted the people of France to like hims so he advertised and made himself look good with propaganda.
