The White Man´s Burden was a published Poem by Rudyard Kipling. The affect that this poem had on the people of Europe was showing them that they were the good guys and they were the ones in the right by showing that we were the ones helping but in reality the white en were the ones who were hurting and killing the Africans not helping. But this poem was so powerful that why Imperialism was so highly thought of at that time because people thought they were doing the right thing.
