Things I liked about Save Me a Seat:
1. Feeling deep empathy for Ravi & Joe throughout the entire story
2. Learning about Indian culture & customs–especially how close their extended families are and how much they value hard work
3. How the authors alternated the point of views between the two main characters
4. Watching both Ravi & Joe struggle, then triumph by learning a lot about themselves.

I wonder...why Dylan Samreen treats people the way he does.
I wonder...how naan khatais taste. My evidence is that Ravi's family keeps saying it, and also it happens with Joe and Ravi throughout the story. i wonder why Dylan treats people so meanly i also wonder about what his parents are like?

I like how the book is told with different perspective, Ravi and Joe, when you hear things from Ravi's side, you hear what they actually are from Joe's side. For instance, Ravi sees that Dillon smiles and winks a lot at him, from Joe, you hear that winking is Dillon's way of telling you he's gonna steal something. That's what I thought of the book It was a good one!

I think save me a seat is a good book because I like hearing different peoples perspectives in the story, also I think Dillon was, and still is a total bully. on RAH-vee's part/chapter of the story, RAH-vee thinks that dillon is a nice, cool, guy, that has alot of friends, and when he smiles, RAH-vee thinks that dillon likes him, but joe knows that dillon does not like him at all. and when dillon TRIES to be nice, he's acctully trying to BULLY him.AND and he makes RAH-vee seem like a f in friends and a in being a nerd
but in the end. RAH-vee knows that his best friend Joe will be saving a seat for RAH-vee at Einstein Elementary School.

P.S its also cool that in the end there are recipes and little note and like how to make naan khaties

I think save me a seat was a great book because it told the story from both sides: the american side AKA joe, and the indian side AKA rahvi. I think Dillon samreen was taught a lesson. It was so funny! leaches down the pants. But he also played a big role, because if he did not exist, joe and rahvi would not have become friends. So the book would not make sense so it would not have meaning. The point of this book is that you should not jump to conclusions and not to judge people by their actions like rahiv thought dillon wanted to be his friend but he actually was a bully. So, if joe had not helped rahvi he would have become a victim of bullying so he would have had a hard time at school. then he would dropout.

I think Save Me a Seat was a good book because I liked the characters except Dillon because he was a bully. My favorite thing was that each chapter had one of the characters telling the same story in a different way. At first Rah-VEE thought Joe was mean but Joe wanted to be Rah-VEEs friend and Rah-VEE wanted to be Dillon's friend. But in the end it was the opposite. So the moral of the story is a new friend could be sitting right next to you.

I think that Sarah Weeks could of added more of a backstory on Dillon because I think that a lot of people would of found that interesting. I also really liked the different roles the characters played. Dillon as the bully, Ravi as the new kid and Joe as the lonely kid. Overall I think it was a great story.
