         <title>Geography</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There were many geographical features of Ancient Egypt.<br><br>One of the most important of them was the Nile River. One of the benefits of the Nile was that it provided water for the people and provided food like fish. Also, near the Nile, there was fertile soil to farm and grow crops on.  One of the negative things about the Nile was that it flooded every year in the summer, destroying crops and rivers. <br><br>Another one of Egypt's geographical features was the Mediterranean Sea. The Nile emptied into the Mediterranean through the Nile Delta.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The different kingdoms affected peoples lives.<br><br><strong>The Old Kingdoms</strong>- Expanded Egypt, encouraged trade, built a lot of pyramids, and also had a weak ruler.<br><br><strong>The Middle Kingdoms</strong>-Restored wealth and power, the Nile River was invaded, and still had a weak king.<br><br><strong>The New Kingdoms</strong>- Restored power, built a lot of buildings, became the wealthiest and the most powerful nation in the world, but dynasty XX struggled for power,  and people priests and nobles broke apart into small states.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Ancient Egypt's social structure is the people who are treated from the  best to the worst an to start is.<br><br>At the top is the Pharaoh because the people treated him like a god.<br><br>Right after the Pharaoh is the Government Officials  because they were the government of ancient Egypt .<br><br>Next is the priests because they led religious ceremonies in ancient Egypt.<br><br>Next were scribes because they where the ones who learned how to read and write.<br><br>Next are the artisans because they where the highly skilled workers.<br><br>Then are the farmers because they provide most of the food.<br><br>Finally are the slaves because they do not have any rights. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ancient Egypt's religion was complicated.<br><br>The Ancient Egyptians believed that many deities influenced daily life and all human activities. Some deities were Anubis, god of the dead, Horus, god of the sky, Seth, god of chaos, Isis, the protective goddess, and finally, Ra, the sun god. Ra was the most important god. Some of the ways religion influenced daily life were that the people had to pray to the gods every day. They either had to go to the temple or they prayed at home.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There were many great achievements in ancient Egypt. <br><br>One of the biggest achievements for the ancient Egyptians was the pyramids. The ancient Egyptians built the pyramids about 4,500 years ago. The pyramids were made as tombs for the ancient kings. <br><br>Another achievement for the ancient Egyptians was painting and sculpting . The paintings were of religious things of daily life and most of them were inside the pyramids.<br><br>The Egyptians were the first to develop the 365 day year. The calendar was based on the annual flooding of the Nile. <br><br>Also, the Egyptians were good doctors. They could care for wounds, set broken bones, and could treat many illnesses. The Egyptians were also the first to realize that the pulse was connected to the  heart.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div> People were treated differently by what they had.<br><br>Wealthy people were treated like royals. They got carried on special chair for transportation instead of walking or riding a horse.<br><br>The government collected taxes from everyone. Egyptians were taxed by what they owned. Farmers were tax by crops instead of money. Miners were taxed by treasure.</div>]]></description>
