This is my mask, its name is sophia bc my mom named it that lol. i added eye sockets, following a loose general rule of 2 finger width apart. might make her sockets slightly longer.

i added a nose to sophia. it’s a lower nose bridge with a wider base, i’m still working on the nostrils and i’ll probably add more refinements as it comes together but i wanted to establish it since it’s the very center of the face.

Added eyelids, eye bags, and sunken cheeks to give her a tired look. I also added a brow bone to accentuate the sunken tired look.

Added lips to give a general idea of the shape but i need to form them. might change the lips as i progress if they aren’t working with the rest of the mask.

removed the lips because they were too short and thin and they weren’t working well with the sunken face. will try again.

was in the middle of lips when school ended. will continue to add onto them the next work period. i also added more dimensions to the eye lips. Added high and prominent cheekbones to even further accentuate the sunken cheeks. will probably reshape the face so it’s more of an upside teardrop and less of an oval(?) shape.

I sunk her cheeks some more because i didn’t like their initial look. She looked boring so i gave her a third eye so that your eyes are drawn to something interesting.

I added horns to sophia. I put horns on top of her head, as well as on either side of her mouth. this is meant to give her a slightly “demonic” look which supports her sunken cheeks and third eye.

Last minute i decided to give her an imbedded rose. this is because roses can be used to represent mysticism, which can either mean being one with a god or losing your self to occult like delusions. i find this parallelism ironic due to her being a demonic like creature, so for her to being “one with god” is impossible because demons are believed to be angels that god turned their back on.

Since i finished sophia’s features i have started the hollowing out process. i poked holes in the the high and low points of every feature to 1. know what the thinnest part should be and 2. so that i can see where each feature starts and where it needs to be the deepest.

I have finished trimming the inside of my mask and have started slip trailing. I’m gonna go base my slip trailing off of my into pictures. Hopefully it goes well.

I’ve gone haywire with my slip trailing! I added tears to her eye sockets to give it a bleeding or crying look. I’ve added swirlies for psychedelic fun. I added eyelashes to make the stereotypical 3rd eye look.
