City can do better by showing up in community and being ready to talk and be flexible with CBOs and people in the community. It’s happening, we just need to continue the work.

1000% agree with data integration across the board!!

This would really help all of us see where some families are slipping between the cracks.

Creating an actual one system that all frc’s, hsa, shelter system, and SFUSD use.

Also the stay over program needs more attention. I work at an FRC and I’ve had multiple families come to me crying having not the best experiences at the stay over program and willingly choose to stay in their car or in a tent than go back there.

Some issues that I’ve heard is that the food is not good, staff are rude, there is no warm water to shower, and they are constantly being drilled by staff over every little thing. The hours of operation are also not realistic for daily life.

I don’t think there is a better way to say what has been said but I would just repeat it here in my own words just as it was shared. Let our data speak to each other, let the systems be aligned and we need more operational funds so we can do this work better and more efficiently.

I believe the city can also do better by improving information and communication flow with tools so that departments can work togethe.

I believe this answers the question of how the city can do better to improve cross departmental coordination.

We need funding to support CBO youth development staff to support four year olds in TK. Right now staff working with 4s are struggling, because the developmental needs of that age group requires deeper ECE knowledge.

A resourced professional learning community and coaching/observation model for these staff could make a big difference.
