I felt great during the class. I feel that the kids were engaged with the activities at all times and they were very enthusiastic about the English class.

I think that the main content that we tried to teach was not entirely learned because they were not able to say the phrase “my name is”, which was our main goal, but they were able to say some words in English like “yes”, so I believe that it was a reasonable response from them due to it was the first time they had a class in a different language. I feel confident that in the next class, they are going to be able to assimilate much more content because they are not going to be overwhelmed by the new kind of class.

I also think that the closure was a little bit disorganized because they didn't know what to do after the song. When we practised the class we never thought about what was coming after the “goodbye song” because we took for granted that it simply finished there, and that was the mistake that caused the error and the disorder. For the next class, I think it would be better if we tell the kids to sit down in their chairs after the “goodbye song”, in that way the kids end up organized for the teacher to resume the class and we can also say goodbye to them individually with a hi five without losing track of who did we say goodbye and who we did not yet.

Finally, I realized that they need more time to devote to written exercises. Most of the kids in our classroom didn't want to deliver the assignment halfway done, so they were very frustrated when they were not able to finish their painting. I thought they wouldn't be able to maintain focus for that long so we didn't give them enough time to finish their assignment. I think that there are two possible solutions for this in a future class, the first one is to make smaller drawings so that they finish earlier, and the second one is to allow them to have more time to complete the tasks.

At the beginning of the class i felt very nervous and excited. Firstly because i thought i was not ready or that i was going to forget something and secondly because i was afraid that the game would not work as planned. But although there were very few children that day, i really liked their participation, they understood the game. I think i was able to achieve the objective of the class, they were able to say the feelings for themselves and they were able to place the correct card on the emotions board.
It makes me feel very fulfilled to see them sing the songs and enjoy it. (Especially the Goodbye song. It was the correct one)
Of course i have to pay attention to some things (For example when i said Leroy in English without realizing it) but i think the class went according to plan.
Finally i must mention that the time in the classroom passed very quickly.

This time I felt much more comfortable, although the previous class I was in, this time I felt that I did more calmly. The students were really engaged in both the exercise and the activity. In the exercise of the emotions and colours they answered every question I asked. In this class I felt that I improved a lot with respect to language. I tried to use more English and sandwich strategy. That was something that the last class I didn't do very well. The students were very well organised thanks to the help of the monitors, they even helped them in the activity by making them repeat the emotions while they painted them. I still have to continue improving in some aspects but for being my second class I feel satisfied with my performance.

I felt good giving the lesson for the children becuase it´s something I enjoy doing. Also, when I was reviewing the content that the children had already learned the previous class, I noticed that all of them produced the vocabulary taught. So, the children were quite active during the lesson. That´s something I really enjoyed watching. I also noticed the importance of making gestures in order to explain something (espacially in a foregin langauge). That really makes the difference. Sometimes, I feel that I have to speak louder for when asking children to pay attention or for behavior.

I felt comfortable during the storytelling. I had many pronunciation errors that I couldn’t correct even when I realized I was saying it wrong because I was so focused on keeping the children entertained that I couldn’t pay attention to everything at once. I think that the story worked very well, the kids understood, and they were surprised and engaged during the first storytelling. After we finished the first storytelling we dilate the interaction with the kids before starting the second time of the storytelling because we were waiting for the teacher arrive, and in that time, we lost their attention and they got distracted and anxious, maybe if I started with the second story telling it would have been more dynamic and they wouldn't have got bored.

I have to say that at the beguining of the lesson I was not as nervous as when I was before getting into the classroom. Also, I noticed that the students were very passive and that they also remembered the vocabulary taught in previous lessons. Of course, that made me feel pleased. I also noticed that I have to improve my skills on getting students attention for when they get noisy sometimes.

When I finished my lesson I realised how fast it all went. The most anxious part was when I started hearing the children's voices coming from the corridor! Once they came into the classroom they were really into communicating how they were feeling; most of them touched the smiley face from the emotion card when asked. After the first part of the routine I tried calling them as we planned in order for my classmates to organise the hats; some of the children realised what was going on but it all went so fast and smoothly that they didn't have much time to ask questions! (I think we-the trainees- worked as a really good team that day). By the way, I tried using the "I have a secret/something really important to tell you" strategy that Victoria used in the first lesson and it worked like a charm; they were invested in what I had to say. But then I had to reorganise the semicircle and it was a little difficult because they didn't quite understand me at times, however the monitors were really helpful in this part! Whenever I had to give instructions I used some Spanish or the sandwich method but I tried to be as expressive as I could so I didn't have to switch languages a lot. Anyways, I do believe I have to control the volume of my voice a little because I get too excited and forget I don't have to shout! So I recognise I have to work on that and control my loudness so that I achieve a degree of voice volume with which I feel comfortable. Going back to the lesson's chronology- after introducing the colours I told them that a game was coming and that they had to sing with me if they wanted to play (this part was completely improvised because I forgot how I was going to introduce the song and make them sing it!), some of them nodded but not all of them could follow the song. Most of them looked happy during the song though; they all were expecting their turns to get asked what their favourite colour was. Some of the children even replied in English and that made me really content, however I should have persisted a little bit more on repeating the whole chunk. I still felt very happy some of them repeated the colours in English. Finally, the game was a success (from my point of view). I wish we had more time to play another round because all of them wanted to jump, even the shyer ones! Only one kid was left to pass alone but I decided to jump with him so that no one passed again since it was time to start closing up the lesson. Overall, I felt good delivering this lesson and I think it went almost as I planned it so I'm really satisfied this time!

I was really enthusiastic to teach this lesson. I was also somehow worried because I feared I wouldn't be able to remember all the lines but having Ariana and Luis there as the characters helped me a lot. It also helped the fact that I was sitting down on the floor at the same level and height as our pupils. They acted so respectful that day. Some of the girls sitting next to the window were chatting a lot but I tried to catch their attention by asking them questions and by telling them to look at the characters of the story (Ari as Clara and Luis as the monster). When I did that they started to look more focused on the story. The monitors also supported me a lot with the music and by getting the children at the back to pay attention. When it was time to do the activity, Anto helped me with the drawings on the whiteboard so I could explain how to match the examples better and Flor thought of playing the hello song on the speaker (I thought it was a great idea! The children sang it along as each solved their copies and it was adorable). Overall I really enjoyed being in charge of this class. Some things didn't go as planned (such as making use of my music stand for the pictures) but we did a good job at not losing our heads and solving the problems that appeared spontaneosly.

It was my first experience teaching a large group of children and I didn't know what to expect.
I was afraid of forgetting things, blocking myself, or not knowing how to get their attention.
That day they arrived a little unruly, but I was very happy that they sang the colour song and were excited to say their favorite colour. It was difficult for them to pay attention to the class, and the activity did not go as I'd planned, it was difficult to capture their attention when I explained the rules before starting.
Although the class didn't go as I expected, it helped me know what to do and what not to do for future classes.

I was a little bit nervous because I didn't know if this time the children were going to arrive very excited or more calm than the last time.
But surprisingly they were calmer. Before I say anything they already knew what was going to come, the microphone to sing the song, the names... they already knew the routine!.
I was surprised because I felt that this time many children were encouraged to sing the "Hello song" with enthusiasm. This time they paid more attention, some didn't respect the imaginary line but the majority knew that they didn't have to cross it.
Everyone liked the "weather song" and asked us to repeat it and we sang it again. Finally everyone was very focused on the activity of making their favorite weather. I definitely left my class very happy.

I was really excited and nervous. It is what I want for since I was a child. I always love being with kids but I didn't imagine it would be like that. Anyway I enjoyed the whole experience from planning it, the preparation of the materials, to the last minute of the class. I also think the students enjoyed the class as much as I did.

IN my second class I was really nervous because it was the first time that I had to plan it alone. I wasn't feel sure about if my class will be okay or not. But despite everything it went super well, we took advantage of the fact that it was the last class to enjoy it. What made me happiest was that the students knew the songs, they hummed them and danced.

I will never forget how I enjoyed my first kindergarten class and the mix of emotions I had. I felt very happy, the children behaved well, they sat in their chair, they did their homework with joy and before I left, some of them hugged me. I was very happy. It was a wonderful experience.
