USING TOPIC SENTENCES

 The topic sentence is usually the first sentence of a paragraph, but it might be the second or third sentence. It introduces the main idea of the paragraph and all other ideas in the paragraph will be related to the topic sentence. You can use topic sentences to help you locate the ikformation you need more quickly.
