When I got older, my hair turned wavy, then straight and switched off again and again.
Kindergarten: Straight, chin length
1st: Still Straight, barely shoulder length
2nd: Curly (Ringlets), shoulder length
3rd: Wavy, belly button length
4th: Straight, with waviness at the very edges, just past shoulder length
5th: Straight, three inches above belly button.
Now: Wavy-Straight, Reaches to my bottom

Lily came in this morning and asked me if she could help me brush my hair. So cute! I said yes, because I actually did (I can't reach down to the bottom very well. I mean, it's just to my bottom, but it is getting pretty long). Then she asked me what type of instrument she should play. I told her to follow her dreams and she said that she wanted to play the bangy clangy thingies and the white and black thingy (she meant piano and drums). I then told her about percussionists and she decided she wanted to start. That got me thinking about percussionists. Maybe when I'm done with the rest of my instrument goals, I'll start learning those. I mean, I've already done drums and piano (yes, piano is a percussion instrument!).

One thing I noticed about Lily and I's pictures is that our facial structure is very similar. My face also looks exactly like my kindergarten one (weird, right?).

Languages: These are what I speak, why, and how.

English

Well, of course! I live in the US.

Flemish

My mother moved to Belgium at ten years old, so she grew up here. She speaks four languages - Flemish, English, French and Italian (she is Italian).

Luxembourgish

My dad went to college in Luxembourg, so he speaks it, Greek, and English.

Greek

My dad is Greek, and that is the only language my grandparents (his parents) speak.

Level 2 (out of 6) French

I'm learning this language in school (I'm the only sixth grader in my class!), because of my mom who speaks it.

Level 4 (out of 6) Italian

I'm learning this in a three hour Saturday private lesson. I'm half Italian.

Intermediate Latin

I'm not at a definite level for this one, since I only do it in the summer (in all, four hours a week, private lessons). I just wanted to learn this because then other languages are easier.

Intermediate Reading/Writing Hieroglyphs

This is the same level, times, and how as Latin since I started both at the same time. I wanted to learn this because I had done an Egypt unit in school and the teacher said we would soon do more, so I thought it would be cool to know how to read it by then. We did a short one in fourth grade (I was still a beginner) and I'm doing one at the end of this year. Yay!

I'm pretty international.

Pinkish Skin: Dad

Lily's Look: Mom or Dad?

Red hair: Dad

Blue Eyes: Mom

Tannish (Can change) Skin: Mom

Well, I guess Lily does look more like mom. But the skin can change a bit if she doesn't spend as much time outside, and then her skin is more pinkish, like mine.

My parents have American names, so everyone automatically assumes that I am American.
