Hey girls,
Great to see you have started.
However, there is very little evidence of any work from yesterday or the week before.
You need to work faster and do more on this.
What you have written about their supply chain is not useful.
You need to discuss who their suppliers are, who the customers are, who transports the meals, etc.

For the design of a supply chain you would consider:
- Type of supply chain (are you aiming to be lean or agile)
- Type of product (is it innovative of functional)
- IT (programmes and technology) to be used across your supply chain
- proximity to customers or suppliers (so, yes your number 2 on suppliers is good!)
- any of the 7 principles of supply chain would be perspectives you consider

What you've written so far about design is not really relevant.
Make sure you stick to the slides and lecture readings.
And ask me questions if you need help.

As per your feedback on our padlet, I want to know that for Question 1 of the assessment it is written that:

1) Provide a brief introduction to the organisation and their supply chain.

and for the 2nd question it says:

2) Evaluate the key perspectives and phases of supply chain design and their implications for production, delivery, and in-service sustainment.

So, could you please give some suggestion on what is the difference between their supply chain and phases of supply chain design??? m1°mz

Hi Khushbu,
phases of supply chain design are the steps you take when designing a new supply chain. They are similar to project management planning stages.

You first start planning and designing your supply chain, then you test it, then you review it, then you re-design it.

Question one is about how their supply chain looks like, from raw materials to distributor to retail shop to customer.

Question 2 is about designing a supply chain.
When you design it, you take different steps and you consider different factors. The factors are posted on the left side, in my feedback.
The planning stages... or design stages are above.
