Hi! My name is Lukas and this year I decided to apply to Hanze University of Applied Sciences to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Technical and Analytical work had always appealed to me more than open- ended things. My main inspiration to undergo this journey is my parents' support to chase what I wanted and my dad's passion for IT and introducing me to mechanics at a young age. I think this degree will help me with real job experience and let me be able to apply my skills rather than them being theoretical as the university is known for its applied sciences. I find myself eventually wanting to work in a sector around user experience for products. This inspiration came to me after working for my uncle who worked at a company that designer products for headphone and speaker companies lker marshals.

2. How will I achieve these goals

I will take part in a Harvard online Python course everyday starting form the 1st of Nov in order to develop my programing skills.

I will make sure I do all optional coursework for Holland ISC in order to stay on top of my studies and am able to progress to Hanze UAP 

I will watch videos this month that explain the most important 3D design software used in Mechanical Engineering.

I will work as an intern this summer in a Mechanical Engineering firm in order to develop my skills with tools and soldering.

Do you think the CVB presentation went better or worse than you expected? 

It went slightly worse or about the same as I expected , so I'm not disappointed. Issue with the long term goals.

2. How were you feeling when you were giving the presentation? 

I felt confident in myself and my ability to present but was a little lost on how much time i should spend on each topic.

3. What could have helped you deliver the presentation better?

When my internet cut out I panicked , if that would not have happened . I would have been more coherent.

4. Do you think your CVB came out the way you had planned?

The presentation itself was structured quite well but I should have made more space to make it more easy to follow. I am happy with it though

  5. Do you think you were organised and effective when planning and designing the CVB?

I think iIwas effective because I looked for the most coherent examples of CVB and used them as a template to structure my CVB

6. What could you have done to improve your planning and designing stage? 

I could have made myself more familiar with the app that I was using. I later found out you could do more things to make it more coherent that I did not know.

7. Identify three skills you think you used over the course of your CVB assignment

-Remembering information and presenting
-Design skills for the CVB
-Critical thinking for where each topic should be

8. How confident are you of these skills? Very confident, somewhat confident or only a little?

I feel confident in these skills but I believe I could have been more organized and double checked my work some more.

9. How could you try to improve these skills over the next few months?
