Scenes in the Life of Harriet Tubman, were a help (though the book’s introduction apologized

for trying “to make a heroine of a black woman”)."

This shows that afetr she publicly spoke,she gained the repsect of many encluding Queen Victoria herself that awarded her with a silver medal and a letter signed by her.
