This stage of a child's life is when a baby is completely dependent on the adults around them. They start trusting their caregivers and they form a bond. When parents are unreliable, that is when a child would start forming signs of anxiety and mistrust. As an older brother, I have been able to see my little brother start trusting my siblings and parents. This is an important stage in the psychological growth of a child. This is where they start to do things independently. A lot of times, towards the end of the stage, the child will start to insist that they do it themselves. If a child is unable to start being interdependent at this age, it will set them back and make them behind moving forward. My little brother is entering this stage. He loves being read to, and now his new favorite thing is turning the pages for you. The child is able to develop a self-confidence and a sense of purpose. If a child is unable to explore at this stage, they can develop guilt and having problems socializing in the future. These are probably the hardest years in a person's life. It is the awkward stage where you are still trying to figure things out, and you can feel that people are starting to judge you. It is important for a child to find something they are good ad patinate about at this age. When they do that, they feel like they have a purpose, and they are able to make goals for themselves. If a child is unable to find something they are good at, it may cause them to give up on trying and start fearing how people perceive them. I remember in junior high being able to see how groups starting forming and the things you were patinate about put you in certain groups. This is the stage where a child has to figure themselves out. They need to find out who they are and who they want to be. In adolescence teenagers are required to make bigger decisions, that ultimately shape their futures. When a child does not figure themselves out in this stage, they make wrong choices, not know who they are, and may not know what their future will look like. I just exited this stage, and it is hard to figure yourself out. This is the stage were an adult knows themselves and starts to build relationships. They have a good sense of identity and want to start to share their life with another. The people who were unable to complete the last stage are unable to start a committed and healthy relationship. It is possible to have a string relationship when either partner does not have a sense of identity. I am currently in this stage and I feel like my girlfriend and I both have a good sense of who we are as individuals. This stage is where a person would start to give to others. They try to be a productive member in society. They have jobs and start families. When a person does not give to others, they may feel lonely and disconnected from the rest of the world. My parents have a lot of children and work jobs. They do a lot for us and society and it makes them feel like they are needed and are important.

This is the stage in a person's life when their life slows down and they have a lot of time for reflection. They can look back and be proud of how they spent their young years. Or, the can look back and be full of regret. When people are full of regret they may become depressed. I love talking to my grandparents about their pasts.
