One time in social studies class I had assignments due and I didn't bother doing them because I didn't think I would have time anyway. I ended up not turning it in on time and getting a bad grade. The teacher gave the class time to turn in and finish missing work and I took that time to try and turn it in and I got my grade back up to and A.

This example relates to my theme because at first I gave up on trying but when given the opportunity to fix my grade, I tried and succeeded. I avoided doing the project because I didn't want to present it and ended up not having it done by the due date. The teacher gave me more time to finish it but I kinda gave up on trying and just made a really  bad looking one and got a bad grade on it.
