Making a profit: cutting costs in manufacturing. Companies wan't to create their product as cheaply and efficiently as possible while still enticing the same amount of customers. Companies serve to make a profit in our market economy.

Worker Incentive

Pay and benefits: A worker will want a higher salary. The more money a worker is paid, and the more they feel valued, the more likely they will be to work hard at their job and perform well on a regular basis.

Saver Incentive

Interest earned: Someone is more likely to put their money in a savings account in order to accrue more money over time. A saver is trying to make a profit off of their frugality, so they want to deposit their savings in an account that will make them more money over the long run.

Investor Incentive

Capital gain: Buying stock at $5 a share, and then watching as it triples in price. People invest their money in order to make a profit off of a business's success. It's a gamble, but the payoff can be good, and people are willing to risk their money on what they consider 'smart investments'.

Citizen Incentive

Citizens have an incentive to vote for politicians that share their political beliefs. A Democrat will vote for a Democratic candidate because they believe that they will fulfill their political agenda. A Republican will do the same for a Republican candidate.
