A lot of the construction signs or property is tampered with or vandalized. Unfortunately, there was a massive pothole in the middle of the road. Once you got to the alley ways there was a lot of random trash, old furniture, and junk that was overflowing a lot of the garbage bins. I stumbled across a nice plaza that had a bunch of different dining options, workout studios, and things to do. A lot of people were outside eating dinner and enjoying the environment. It seemed like a nice place to go with friends or family. I had a good idea of what neighborhoods outside of the campus looked like. I knew that Sugarhouse was a nice area and is where a lot of people like to live. I also knew that it was a pretty lively place with a lot of things to do. But I also knew that there were probably going to be certain things that made the neighborhood seem or look a certain way. There were a bunch of little issues all around that overall did not allow for this area to live up to its full potential. Like construction, homelessness, and issues that have to do with the city. I ended up having really great interactions with all the community members. Everyone was very friendly and for the most part in their early or mid 20’s. It seems like a very nice place to live that’s filled with opportunities and still has that city vibe.
