I chose question number one because I had more to write about that question. Something that surprised me was that in the book this town called Avondale nothing really happens there,but when Nancy, George, and Bess got there a fire started which I thought was surprising because nothing really happens in Avondale. Nancy overheard some older ladies talking, and it sounded like some wire caught on fire,but they also said this is what happens in a book that she and the older girls had read about in the book, and that author was doing a signing in a bookstore called Peges Pages. To me it’s weird because this is what happend what Nancy is reading about. It is like the book was coming true. I can’t wait to see what happens next.    The book I am reading is The Unwilling Umpire by Ron Roy. This is a mystery book. I choose question one because I found it more interesting. A fund raising base ball game is taking place. A lot of people are watching the game. At the beginning of the game, Pete, the baseball umpire, runs off to get his allergy medications. At that time the coach's baseball collection get stolen! 
At first, people think Pete stole the collection. The Police is called and Pete confessed he stole the baseballs. However the three children Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose have hard time to believe that Pete is the thief. They're  about to start searching for the real thief. I am very curios to read what is coming.

Dear Mrs. Copley,
     The book i am reading is called Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew by Carolyn Keene. The genre is mystery.
        I choose question 1 because it was interesting that Nadine lost her hoodie after one girl in the book wanted to borrow her hoodie. It is also interesting that Violet offered to buy the hoodie with her life's savings. The timing of the missing hoodie is suspicious.  Another thing that surprised me was that The Clue Crew is battling the other Klue Krew to see who can find the hoodie first. Those are the things that surprised me so far. I am looking forward to reading about these friends finding the hoodie.

            The book I am reading is Sammy Keyes and the Skeleton Man by Wendelin Van Draanen. This is a mystery book.  This story is about a girl named Sammy Keyes. I choose question number one what surprised me was that the Bush Man is nice.  Sammy and her friends thought the Bush Man was this creepy old guy but he’s a really nice person.  They find this out on Halloween when they save him from a fire. Now they have to help him find the Skeleton Man.

The genre is mystery.The story is about four children going to their great grandfather's island.The question I picked number two. It is suspenseful because only Dr.Moore and captain Daniel know who the young man is. They're not not telling anyone who he is. I'm eager to know who the young man.

  The book I read was Snoop Troop by Kirk Scroggs. The genre is Mystery. The prompt that I am writing about is "Did something happen in your book that surprised you?"
In this book, the main character, Logan loves mystery books. One day she was walking out of the library and passed an amusement park. The amusement parks merry go round was missing and there was a big hole in the ground. Logan went into the crime scene and checked some things out. When she was walking, the owner of the park was scared and hiding in stuffed animals. Logan told him to tell her about what the thief looked like and she doodled his description. When Logan was done, the picture was a mole! The thing that was the most surprising was the fact that it was a mole that stole the merry go round.  I finished this book and really enjoyed it.

 My story is about a boy named Mike and a girl named Kate.They both like baseball and they solve mysteries. I chose to answer question one because the thing that surprised me was that the ghost was an actual person and not a ghost. People thought there was a ghost in Yankee Stadium because they heard weird noises like a ghost. Mike and Kate found out who the ghost was by finding clues and then catching the owner's son sneaking through the vent system. This is what surprised me.

The book I am reading is The Orange Outlaw by Ron Roy. The genre of my my book is Mystery.

My story is about these three kids that are named Ruth Rose, Dink, Josh and Dinks Uncle Warren .They found out that there was a robber who robbed a painting from the home of Dinks uncle. I chose to answer question one because out of all the things the robber could rob he robbed the painting from Uncle Warrens friend. I was surprised that he didn't rob the wallet or car keys.

             The book that I am reading is called Keeper of the Lost Cities byShannon Messenger. The genre of my book is Mystery.

I picked number one as my question. Something that surprised me was when I found out that Sophie and Fitz ( the two main characters in the book) were elves, but they looked just like regular children. The second thing that surprised me was that Fitz was looking for Sophie for twelve years ( and that would feel like forever). The last thing that surprised me was when Sophie was getting chased by Fitz and almost died because she didn't look both ways when A car was coming, but she was lucky that the car missed her by inches and she fell down when she opened her eyes she could only see a blur. That is what I have read so far and I can not wait until what happens next.

      Something in this book that surprised me was when Kyle (the main character) wins the fun contest to go into the overnight stay at Mr. Lemoncello's Library. It surprised me because the book is called Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library so I was expecting him to get trapped and would want to escape for that reason. I am wondering why he will need to escape from winning a fun contest. I am not finished reading this book so I'm still wondering why he wants to escape.

Dear Mrs. Copley,
     The book I am reading is Space  Case by Stuart Gibbs.  The genre I am reading is mystery.  My book is about a murder in space and a boy who is solving the murder.  Also, for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the food is disgusting!  The prompt I chose is #3 because I felt sad while reading this book.  
     I felt sad because Dr. Holtz died and and he was a good person and scientist.  I don't know how he died because it is a mystery.   I am hoping I know how he dies at the end of the book so I know the mystery is solved.  
     This book reminds me of another time when I was sad.  I was very sad when my first fish named Dean the fish died.  This was painful for me when he died because he was my first pet.

   I am reading Shipwreck On The Pirate Islands by Geronimo Stilton. The genre I am reading is mystery. 
   I felt scared because there is an island with a tale that says that there is a monster on the island and when he walks you hear flip flop.  For example, the mouse heard flip flop and he thought it was the monster but when he got close it actually was his friend bouncer that was a mouse too. I was scared of bouncer because it was dark outside and it looked like he had a sword.                                         The part of the book reminds me of the movie spider verse because the bad guy was big and black and his arm looked like a sword.

  The book I'm reading is The Mystery in Chocolate Town Hershey, Pennsylvania by Carole Marsh. The genre is Mystery.
     My book is suspenseful because sometimes I don't know what is going to happen, and want to read more. This story is about a family that travels to Hershey, Pennsylvania to visit Chocolate Town. When they get there, the children discover that silver dollars are being stolen! I can't want to read more about the stolen silver dollars, and how Christina and Grant, the children solve the mystery and find out what happen to the coins.

In the book Nancy Drew and her two friends Bess and George were all invited to Deirdre’s sleepover birthday party. It was a Hollywood doll themed party. They played games and had cake at the sleepover. Before they went to bed Trina put the doll named “Hollywood Heather” on the window sill.
I chose #1 “Did something happen in your book that surprised you? There were many things that surprised me but the biggest was when Deirdre lost her doll at the sleepover while Nadine got the same doll right after the sleepover.  Deirdre asked Nancy to get to the bottom of the case.  It’s a very interesting case.  I am looking forward to finishing the book.
