I also work on flood alleviation schemes and river and habitat restoration projects. </p><p>I hope to add to my knowledge of GIS, which I have previous experience of using at university and seeing what more it can do. I would like to be able to understand how UK habs and BNG maps are produced, as I see them daily but don't understand how they made, so it would ass to my knowledge. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I find GIS very helpful in my day-to-day tasks as a Catchment Sensitive Farming Adviser at Natural England. I am particularly interested in learning techniques for applying GIS for opportunity mapping and monitoring to address any or all of the following: soil erosion, soil health, agricultural run-off, habitat connectivity, air quality, GHG emissions, fluvial geomorphology, under-productive agricultural land, woodland/shelterbelt creation, peatland rewetting, INNS, farm yard infrastructure, SSSI pressures, priority species recovery, priority habitat restoration, Integrated Pest Management, Nutrient management planning, and quantifying natural flood management potential.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This is the NNR I manage - Kingley Vale NNR. It was one of the first set of five to be designated as an NNR in England in 1952. It was championed by none other than Sir Arthur George Tansley, who has a stone and plaque commemorating his many achievements on the top of the site. </p><p><br/></p><p>Personally I am keen to better utilize GIS in my site management - it has likely got numerous application and would be a powerful tool to be able to use. </p>]]></description>
