In the book, Jean Val Jean appears as a skinny man. After he went to jail, he buffed up and even stopped a whole cart. JVJ stole bread for his little sisters and went to jail for it, and he realized he stole from a little boy. but it did not stop him, he escaped and kept his promise. He was elected as Mayor Madeline for around 2 years and later got caught.Also Cosette likes JVJ only as a father. Henry Cavill in my opinion really suits JVJ a lot, and he's a really good actor.😎

Cossette- Jennifer Lawrence

chose Jennifer Lawrence as Cossette because she is a blonde young girl and, in the book, Jennifer looks very young for her age. also, in the book Cossette was held as a slave and was very sick. she was saved by Jean Val Jean and also lived with him. Sadly, she grew up with Marius and also likes him.😁

Marius- Cillian Murphy

in the book, Marius appears as a skinny good-looking man. also, he likes Cossette. Henry Cavill is also known for saving people and in the book and Marius was saved by JVJ so that's a good connection. also, a really good actor, watch his movies they peak.in the book, Cossette likes him. Cossettes ability to love Marius, however, is due in large parts to JVJ, who has taught her trust and love. But she stays true to her upbringing. Her love for Marius becomes her way of applying to her own life what she had learned from JVJ.Marius is basically thrown into turmoil. In the book, JVJ is really sketchy on important details and Marius walks away thinking JVJ murdered Javert. adding to the love story. JVJ raised Cossette with such love and she is perfect (to Marius) and Cossette lives JVJ. So in the book Marius forces a separation between JVJ and Cossette which JVJ accepts without question because he doesn’t believe he’s good enough. Marius does everything to make JVJ unwelcome when he comes to visit Cossette so that the visits grow less. JVJ saved his life.😊

Inspector Javert- Keanu Reeves

for Inspector Javert, i decided to go with Keanu Reeves because he's just the most cold villain looking guy i've seen. I mean, just look at his movies. in the book, he is a french gaurd who devotes himself to the law and follows it without a doubt, he displays a lack of empathy toward criminals of all forms. Eventually, he became a police inspector, he becomes so obsessed to the pursuit, and capture the convict JVJ, becoming his former prisoner's archenemy. Javert was born inside of a prison to a fortune-telling mother and a gallery doomed father. he was very educated by the police force. Javert can be summed up in one sentence for his personality. He is a man who lives, breathes, eats, sleeps, and would die for justice, in form of the law.🙃

Madame Thenardier- Paige O'hara

In other movies, Paige can be seen with Robby benson. so those two people are my Thenardiers. Madam is the wife of Thenardier and (like Monsieur) is acquisitive, conceited, selfish, greedy, and very rude to Cosette. She adores her daughter Eponine and treats her like a princess while she treats Cosette like a mere slave. She seems to be a tad more ruthless than her husband and more willing to get what she wants. She even orders him around at times. In the book, both are greedy Innkeepers who own and abuse Cosette until the main character, JVJ, arrives and buys her from them for 1,500 francs. After JVJ leaves with Cosette, Thenardier tries to get more money from Valjean but fails.😡

Monsieur Thenardier- Robby Benson

Robby is seen with Paige in other movies aswell. In the book, he is a greedy, sleazy innkeeper who was assigned by Cosette's poverty-stricken mother to look after her. thenardier is a greedy, brutish con artist. Along with his equally venal wife, Madame Thenardier, he owns and mistreats poor Cosette, who is the daughter of a now-deceased mother named Fantine. Thenardier and his wife will always try to pickpocket people when they least expect it, such as when they are giving someone a hug or taking their coats and hats for them. He is deviously sneaky and cunning and at times can be a tiny bit dim-witted. He loves money so much to the point he actually loots corpses of valuable items. 😠

The Bishop- Mark Wahlberg

i chose Mark because in the book, the Bishop as great kindness and charity have made him popular throughout his parish. He passes these qualities to JVJ and initiates to the ex convicts spiritual renewal by saving JVJ from arrest and making promise to live as a honest man. When JVJ was with the bishop, JVJ stole silver Utensils but he let JVJ do it. He claims that the stuff he stole, he gave to JVJ, plus a set of silver candle sticks and says that no arrest is necessary. 😃

Fantine- Natalie Portman

A working-class girl who leaves her hometown of Montreuil-sur-mer to seek her fortune in Paris. Fantine’s innocent affair with a dapper student named Tholomyès leaves her pregnant and abandoned. Although she is frail, she makes a Herculean effort to feed herself and her daughter, Cossette. Even as she descends into prostitution, she never stops caring for Cossette. She represents the destruction that nineteenth-century French society cruelly wreaks on the less fortunate. So sad ☹️

Father Fauchelevent- Willem Dafoe

Fauchelevent was a business rival of Jean Valjean's. Due to the success of Valjean/Madeleine's business, Fauchelevent was eventually driven to bankruptcy and took a job as a carter, being old and unmarried, with no children or other relations to rely on. He vouches for JVJ, who is admitted into the convent as the second gardener, and gives him the name Ultime, which is the real name of his deceased brother. He introduces Cosette as 'Ultime's' granddaughter, but doesn't feel the need to change her name. Willem is my favourite actor of all time so thats why i chose him for Father.
