Welcome to Frogston Primary School. Frogston is a primary school in South East Edinburgh established in August 2020. The school is situated within the new housing development to the south of Frogston Road East with an outstanding new building and extensive, beautifully landscaped grounds. We use our environment, both indoors and out, to promote excitement, innovation, creativity and independence in all teaching and learning opportunities.

The school has experienced rapid growth over the past four years leading to the addition of an extension. This work is due to be completed by the end of the this term and will open in August 2026. We expect to have seventeen classes from Primary 1 to Primary 7 with approx. 475 pupils, alongside our early learning and childcare facility with capacity for 120 pupils.

All communication is sent by an app called School App for Parents. You can download the app to your phone by searching for it in your app store and then add Frogston Primary School. We will provide your username and PIN separately.

Once logged in, you can select your child’s class by opening the message tab and clicking the funnel icon which will display the available classes. Please select the class you wish to receive notifications for. You will then automatically receive all correspondence from the school. Please ensure notifications are enabled on your phone so you receive messages instantly.

It is vital you download the app so you can stay up to date with all the latest school information and communications.

Our school uniform

Our school uniform consists of a purple jumper or cardigan, paired with grey trousers, skirt, dress or shorts and a white shirt or polo shirt.

Most major supermarkets stock purple jumpers and cardigans, as well as grey trousers, skirts, dresses and shorts.

Absence from school
