There is a very big difference in the price of things from 1941 and 1945, like in 1941 (pre-war) like 1 pickett of rice was $5.00. In 1945 (post-war), 1 pickett of rice $5,000. By looking at the prices of other things like eggs, shophouses, etc., I think that the Japanese needed the money for war, and that food was scarce, so it cost more because it was hard to find, so the seller wanted to make more money because they were the ones who went to get it, not the customer.

I got this chart form historyonthenet.com. The USSR lost 15 million civilians in the war. Germany lost 2.44 million civilians. I think that the USSR lost more civilians because the USSR has more civilians than Germany. Even though Germany lost the war, they lost less civilians. I think this happened because more civilians were safe in Germany. I also think that the USSR went into more wars, so more people wanted to 'hurt' the USSR so they could win. Adolf Hitler also killed lots of the Germans, because they were Jews and Gypsies. Even thought the USSR won, they fought a lot which means that the military, which are part of the country, and are still people in the USSR, and more military troops had to be put in the war. While fighting, if the USSR fought a lot of places, they also could have lost a lot of people because they put more troops out, so mroe had to die in the war.

I found this poster on Google. It is propaganda. You can see that they are calling the Japanese rats. They gave the 'rat' buck teeth, an army hat, glasses, and made them look very bad. It says material conservation, which means that if 'we' save things, we can get the Japanese.

This poster is saying don't fall for enemy propaganda, while the poster is propaganda itself. It is basically against all Americans because of their religion.

This song is very silly. It is from WW2. It talks about lawyers stopping for tea, and gophers stopping for tea. There are other songs and one of them has a very similar tune to it. Most of the songs have a happy tune, which makes em think that they played this in stores to get people happy, so they wouldn't feel gloomy about dying. They are very silly, and things don't make sense. One song is about the army, and they are saying 'bad' things about it like what they will have to do. I also feel like I have heard these tunes before, so I think some newer songs took the tunes from them. Another song is about painting the clouds with sunshine, so they are implying that they can bring sunshine back, because there might have been a 'dark cloud' above them. I think the audience for most of the songs are for the civilians, and one song is for men, the one about the army. When I read the lyrics, I saw that they spelled Mr. out. Some lyrics had slang, and bad words. Some of the lyrics also have talking in them, and describing a scene. I think some parts are repeated, because they are the important part, and the point/message of the song. I think that the composer felt happy in the happy songs, and some were nervous to see if their point could go across in a song, if people listened carefully, so they might have made the song slower for that.

In one of the videos I watched, I noticed that some of the people who were in WW2 are still alive, because they got interviewed. I also saw that kids had to work at the age of 12, for the Japanese. I think the intention of this is to show what happened in WW2, and if one comes again, we will know how to react to it more that in WW2. I also wonder why the Japanese made everyone go through hardship, when they could have just ruled the place, without anyone having a lack of food, and daily needs. This also leads me to the Japanese just letting people live how they were, and only changing a few rules. I also wonder why they didn't take Japanese people to come and work for them, because they wouldn't even have to learn the language.
