d) Increase knowledge of musical terminology and genres

There are tasks through the course you will complete to help you achieve these outcomes.


  1. To identify elements of music that change mood.
  2. Identify and use new musical terms in discussions about their work.
  3. Describe ways music is used/created by different cultures around the world.
  4. Demonstrate commitment by attending all sessions and turning up on time.
  5. To make a full music track by the end

I used Garageband to create music using 4 different loops, incorporating 2 different bass, synths and drums.

Mid term review and any targets for the second half of the course? 

 In the second half of the course focus on feel of the music and listen to the loops carefully before sleeting them. Great work so far!!

I have not used an apple laptop before so have learned how one works for the future.

yes i have been able to ask questions to the tutors and communicate with my peers on a topic i have not done before.

Yes i have definitely learnt new terms and genres of music.

e) work as part of a group.
yes i think i have worked well as part of a group.
