I learnt about many things and the experiences that CO-OP student had at their placements. I am also a SHSM student and CO-OP is a requirement for the program. I chose to take CO-OP so that I could get more hands on experience in the field I want to go into to ensure that that is what I want to spend the rest of my life doing. I have done a lot of research on Interior design firms in Aurora and Newmarket and my top 3 choices (in order) where I would like to be placed is Niche Decor, Aurora; Foxglove Design, Aurora; Monaco Design, Aurora. My supervisors were very rude and didn't respect the part time students. This taught me that if you want to be a leader or the boss that you would have to treat all of your employees with respect. I have received many community hours from her office and staff. Around the office I have helped organize files, put together citizenship certificates, and clean out the cupboards. For example, when a student need help with a question it is harder to just see your teachers screen instead of the teacher being beside you to provide the help you need. Some challenges include the thought of being able to wake up 5 minutes before class and grabbing your computer and bringing it to your bed if you didn't feel like getting up. This has made students become lazier and it is effecting their marks because of this. The benefits of online learning is being able to stay home and not having to wake up extra early to go to school in the cold but then again this has its challenges.
