A biochemical cycle is the cycle of material through the Earth. The bio- part of the word means that this has to do with the Earth, and the -chemical part means that it is circulation of some chemical or element. The cycle means that it is forever cycling and continuing.

Carbon is one of the elements which cycles due to this process. Carbon is first released by organisms which exhale it into the atmosphere. Next, plants absorb it with their chlorophyll cells, and they release oxygen into the atmosphere, which effects the oxygen cycle. When organisms decomposes, they also release carbon, which affects the cycle.

Carbon recycles in the atmoshpere when the cows eat the grass which absorbs carbon from the plants when they perform their photosynthesis. After the animals die out, this carbon gets transferred into the soil, then it is picked up from the machines which look for fossil fuels. This then goes to factories which emit it back into the air.
