  I have tried to make our class as interesting as possible while being understanding of the many challenges that I know so many of you have faced.  In addition to that, it is really freaking hard to NOT be physically present at school and "get" the meaning of so many of the lessons and activities that we do in class.  A few things that I hope you can take from our time together:

1) Our daily music and attendance check-ins and the connections that we made in those conversations. I won't forget our "This I Believe" mid terms and the intensity and beauty so many of you displayed in those powerful pieces. 

2) Ethos. Logos, Pathos and Hip Hop and your This I Believe and of course our TED Talks and random classroom moments.

3) Journals and the importance of writing and how much fun it can be to look back

***My BIGGEST regret is not reading a NOVEL together; I hope you don't hold that against me but I tried to keep as many of you involved as possible and a novel didn't seem to fit that criteria in this particular semester.

FINALLY - This is not "Goodbye" unless you want it to be. You can ask kids I have had from last year and years previous; I will be here for you AFTER our class "ends."   I mean that.
