While on my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I was introduce to a couple which both were deaf and he was a member of our faith. Even though they were deaf we tried to teach them using the alphabet sign. This made me want to come home a take a ASL class and learn more about this culture. I did and have been greatful I did. My wife and children have learned it as well.
