It allowed us to speak the thoughts we have been thinking about and have a discussion about different opinions. Although, sometimes people would talk over one another making it hard to speak.

It created meaningful, original discussion, and I think that was valuable for most of us, but it is hard for some people to interject and that makes it stressful.

Sometimes people got cut off by others or multiple people started talking at once

I enjoyed hearing all of the ideas that people had, but it was a bit difficult to add to the discussion while it was going.

It allowed us to see things that you maybe didn't know about and allowed us to gain more information.

it allowed us to see all of the different point of views, and how people interpreted the time period differently. I also liked hearing what others I usually don't hear from in class had to say. Plus, it was more low-key than a test, which lowered stress levels.

I enjoyed how we all were able to contribute our perspectives and hear everyone talk in a group

When multiple people talked at once, it seemed that the people to get to talk when that happened, were the people that had already said a lot on that subject.

It was awesome to hear people's thoughts, but I had a hard time trying to get into the competition with everyone wanting to speak.

Some people talked a lot while some talked it little. The balance was a little off.

I think the test was a good way to improve discussion skills but it wasn't fair to the people who knew the material but didn't know how to speak up and I don't think the discussion had much to do with the material and instead was more designed to engage people. I think it's a great activity but should not be graded.

I really enjoyed the harkness discussion and I thought it was a great way to gain more perspective on a topic. However this comes from someone who enjoys public speaking. There are a lot of comments on how it was hard to insert yourself in the conversation so to those people, How can everyone get more speaking time? Or feel more comfortable speaking?

We could see what did other peoples opinions, but it hard to talk when other people is talking.

It could be a me problem that it was little hard to join, but not just me, sometimes people just say what they are saying and not allow to other to join.

it was hard to join the discussion but when you join eventually you kinda enter the flow of the conversation and your able to talk smoothly with everyone

I think that a lot of people were trying to be active in the conversation but they couldn't find a place to interject.

I enjoyed most of it and think it was a creative way for there to be an assesment

I agree with maybe making a speech because then it's not hard for people to talk.

I think it should be graded, but we should find a solution to make it low-stress for all. Maybe we could have notecards or something prepared for it, that are assigned, and you have to write them.

I liked that it was an open conversation with the whole class. But I feel like a lot of people were getting cut off and were unable to speak. We can fix this by just having the person who spoke first talk.

I think we made connections more easily than if we had been simply writing down what we know, because other people's ideas stimulated our thought processes.

It allowed us to see different views on the subject. I like traditional tests more but it did help me see other views on the topic.

I really enjoyed have a conversation where thoughts can be expressed openly and freely. Instead of having to fit with a question on a test. It was way easier to form thoughts, responses, and questions this way then on a quiz or test, in my opinion. - Ben Dake
