Social Media Influencer Jérôme Jarre started a social media awareness campaign to get the Turkish airline to fly to Somalia with food and water because it was one of the worst humanitarian crisis since the end of Second World War as more than 20 million face starvation and famine. 

The Turkish Airlines are the only ones that fly to Somalia, so he started a Go Fund me campaign and challenged viewers to post on social media #TurkishAirlinesHelpSomalia to get them to help out. 

The campaign was very successful, and even notable actors and celebrities joined the cause such as Ben Stiller. 

The Turkish Airlines agreed to keep donating a Plane to Somalia filled with food and water for as long as the famine lasts.

Negative experiences are more influential in impacted young adult’s moods than positive ones, leading to a Social Media Usage being linked to depressive symptoms. One of the study’s findings was that a 10 percent increase in negative experiences on Social Media correlated with a 20 percent rise in depressive symptoms, whereas each 10 percent increase in positive experiences only correlated with a 4 percent decrease in depressive feelings.
