The goopy, saucy, and fancy marshmallows

These marshmallows are drizzled with three different types of sauces like strawberry sauce, honey, and white chocolate sauce; it’s also covered in confectioner’s sugar to make them more appealing and a little umbrella to top if of. These marshmallows include thick and gooey marshmallows that cover the entirety of the s’more.

I would give these s’more a 4 out of 5 because the bottom of our marshmallows didn’t look as good as the top, I’m not a huge fan of normal chocolate; I prefer white chocolate on my s’mores, and our marshmallows are oversized and should have been trimmed a little bit in order for the marshmallow to fit perfectly on the s’mores.

When it was time to make our hot mixture for our marshmallows, we needed to grab a small sauce pan and add 1/2 cup of water, 1 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of light corn syrup into the sauce pan; I had to stir the mixture over medium heat until the candy thermometer reached 240 degrees Fahrenheit. After our hot mixture reached 240 degrees Fahrenheit, I dumped the hot mixture into the mixing bowl, turned on the electric mixer, and waited until it got glossy and fluffy.

When it came to putting our marshmallows in a bag on Thursday, we forgot to add some powdered sugar into the bag so the marshmallows wouldn’t stick together, it would have made it so easy to take our marshmallows out of the bags without any problems.

Gooey chocolate drizzled s’mores

These warm, homemade s’mores are made with homemade marshmallows, drizzled heavily with chocolate syrup, then topped with powdered sugar for the final touch.

I rate these s’mores a 5 out of 5. I thought the homemade marshmallows tasted even better than store bought, and added extra flavor.

Two methods of cooking I used in this lab were whisking of the ingredient's. After we finished mixing and allowing our marshmallows to settle overnight, we roasted our marshmallows to make s’mores.

The main takeaway I got from this lab was the importance of using powdered sugar when making marshmallows. In order to allow it to form the right shape and consistency, you need a lot of powdered sugar.

Chocolatey Toasty Puff

These delightful s’mores have a gooey marshmallow center with rich, decadent chocolate coating. They are topped with a light dusting of sweet powdered sugar.

I would rate my product a 4 out of 5. The powdered sugar that I sprinkled on top was a tad crumbly, and I could’ve evenly distributed it more. The marshmallows were also a bit unevenly shaped. Although, even with these flaws, they tasted absolutely delicious!

We both whipped the mixture and melted it.

My main take-away from this lab is that patience is extremely important in the baking process. Although it took time to bring the sugar to the right temperature, it was necessary to achieve the highest quality finished product.

This S’more isn’t like other s’mores, its hand made! Making the quality of it delicious and rich. We don't believe in store bought(besides for chocolate and graham crackers).

This product is definitely a 5 because the taste is just like a s’more but better then a regular s’more because of its “just made it” taste. The way the chocolate melts on top of the s’more that is super soft i just heavenly.

When making the marshmallows, we had to make sure the marshmallow was at an internal temperature of 240 before putting it the mixer. We also had to beat it at max in the mixer so everything would mix really fast.

I feel like the instructions were a little confusing for me but i got there eventually.
