Nobody works well on an empty stomach, and you'll probably complete tasks quicker if you take 30 minutes to fuel up. You are entitled to breaks - so take them! Lunchtime is also a great opportunity to meet and get to know your other fellow colleagues in the mess, and FY1 is the best time to make new friends before more distancing roles in FY2 (GP, A&amp;E etc).</div>]]></description>

Therefore, have your list ready, bloods book, scan results and any other queries/clinical questions ready. <br><br>Keep the nursing staff up to date with plans for the patient too and prepare discharge letters as soon as you can. Do this and you will be loved. Finally, enjoy the journey as you only are a FY for 2 years:)</div>]]></description>

Include date, attended (y/n) plus reason for absence, content and learning points columns (these last two can be filled with bullet points). Content can be a general topic covered plus a bit about it, and you only need one or two learning points. Anything that you miss, just include a paragraph at the end reflecting on why (unless annual leave or sickness, in which case it's fairly obvious!). <br><br>You should get regular departmental teaching. For each rotation, do the same. Bedside teaching can go in, formal teaching can go in.<br><br>These 4 documents will make ARCP much easier, and if done contemporaneously will make it much less of a chore! </div>]]></description>
