Many teens today show positive traits such as empathy, critical thinking, and social awareness. They are now more open when it comes to mental health awareness and also to the LGBTQ community. Some join programs like the Red Cross Youth, where they learn leadership and help people in need. However, there are also negative sides to modern teenage behavior. Some teens adopt unusual or strange mindsets influenced by social media or some of their "friends". In Baguio City in 2023, more than half of the crime reports were about minors (Philstar, 2024). They are normalizing things that were unusual before, which can confuse their sense of what is right and slow down their moral growth.

The future depends on how teenagers shape their morals today. It is essential for society to provide a supportive environment where teens can explore values and learn from their experiences. By guiding teenagers to think critically and act responsibly, we invest in leaders who will build a better, fairer world tomorrow.
