         <description><![CDATA[<p>Staying warm in the winter</p><p>Written by Neil Christopher</p><p>Illustrated by Sigmundur Thorgeirsson</p><p>Mia and her friends want to play outside. Mia and her friends will need to dress warm to do so.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>This activity I chose teaches the children that we need to dress warm in the winter and teaches the different types of outdoor clothing.&nbsp;</p><p>Today we are going to learn how to put on our outdoor gear. First, we put on our ski pants, then boots, then move onto our hat, mitts and scarf, lastly, we put on our jackets.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>This has all 5 domains.</p><p>Physical- putting on the gear.</p><p>Language- we’re saying what goes on next.</p><p>Emotional-some children get upset when they can’t get the stuff on. </p><p>Cognitive- thinking what goes on next.</p><p>Social- doing it together as a group. </p><p>Extension- put our stuff on backwards, or start with jacket, hat, mitts, boots then try put on ski pants. </p><p>Shalyne </p>]]></description>

We will be sounding them out and making the sound that they make.</p><p>It teaches them language learning by understanding the noises the animals make. They are also learning to improve their words.</p><p>An extension activity that we can do is get the puppets out and showing which animal can prey on the other, same with predator, we can show which animal is the predator from the other.</p>]]></description>

I would explain to them what activity we will be doing today. The activity today  is  learning about arctic animals . Show the the preschool students the flash cards of the arctic animals. Talk to the preschoolers about the Sounds that the animals make.  I will say the word in Inuinnaqtun annd English.
