Through this, I could attempt at creatively expressing myself and exploring other types of organisation that I have never dared to try before. 

It also allowed me to understand what types of organisation were more effective than others, which I can put to use when writing in future.]]> 2017-07-28 11:54:02 UTC https://padlet.com/lucy_mingyi03/tu2nc5qcblgc/wish/179643076 Task 22: Write and re-write the opening, and explain choice lucy_mingyi03 https://padlet.com/lucy_mingyi03/tu2nc5qcblgc/wish/179643085 I think that this task has helped me greatly towards my mastery of my goal because of the thought process. It required a lot of thought to be able to produce a second opening. Through the thinking process, I was able to realise some weaknesses  in my writing such as my long-windedness (which makes my writing less effective and impactful). I could then improve on these weaknesses through practice.

After the class discussion on the task, I re-looked at my first attempt, and decided to re-write it. 

I think that the process helped me to understand how to expand important ideas and concepts, which I can put to use when trying to convey information in an effective manner.

However, I think that it enabled me to understand how to express myself in a more concise manner. Through finding evidence of the superordinate, I realised the importance of deriving a superordinate in writing in order to convey information more effectively and clearly.]]> 2017-07-31 01:16:15 UTC https://padlet.com/lucy_mingyi03/tu2nc5qcblgc/wish/179729338 Final Evaluation of my Mastery of my goal lucy_mingyi03 https://padlet.com/lucy_mingyi03/tu2nc5qcblgc/wish/179730522 On a scale of 1 to 5 (1 being the least mastery), I think that 4.5 would represent my mastery of my goal after doing these tasks (the original was 1.5) As mastery cannot be achieved within a few short weeks, I can continue to work on this goal through doing more tasks and practicing more.

Strengths:
  • I was able to think deeply and broadly when doing the tasks
  • I could reflect thoroughly

Weaknesses and Areas for Improvement:
  • I could have tried to create my own task so that it could directly target my goal
