When I was only 14, my niece was born, and that was exactly when I realized that I would love to work with kids.
Another thing that I have always been passionate about was learning new languages. Today, I speak fluently a total of 5! I have some more in progress, and I still plan to keep learning much more. Most of them, I learned by my own -by the way, English is one of my self taught languages.-
So I decided to reunite my passions and start a bilingual teaching bachelor in my university. The course is called Letras - Portuguese and English languages and respective literatures. This is a 4-year bachelor degree that gives you a teaching habilitation. 
Since my first year, I’m teaching in public and private schools. I have taught since kindergarten schools, with 2 years old kids to high schools students. I also have worked as a language instructor at a language institute, where I have taught since little kids to elderly students. I graduated from university in 2020 then moved to the United States.

As Sao Paulo has the biggest Japanese colony outside of Japan, the biggest part of my friends are Japanese.
I had the awesome opportunity of studying in a Japanese school and learn, not only the language, but everything related to the culture. I learned to cook Japanese food, as we always helped to prepare for everybody! I learned their traditions, joined lots of cultural festivals. Also I learned about how respectful they are with their teachers and how education is valued.
I have even had the opportunity of meeting Naruhito, Emperor of Japan. (But on that time, he was still a prince haha)

When I left my parents house and started living by my own in another state, I decided to start hosting girls from other countries who were coming for volunteer work in Brazil. I have hosted girls from Peru, Paraguay and Colombia. In our cultural meetings, I had the opportunity of meeting their friends from all over the world. People from Belgium, China, Poland, South Africa, and many other countries.

After that, I decided that I want to go abroad. I always loved traveling, and one thing I always told myself is that I needed to have friends all over the world, so I’ll have a reason to go visit! I traveled most state of my country already, and thanks to the friends I made around there!

When I graduated from university, I still had no idea what area I would like to follow in education, as I really want to keep studying and do a Masters degree. So I decided to come to the USA as an AuPair and try to find out what will be my next steps.
I have lived in New Jersey and I moved to California 2 months ago. I take care of only one baby and I’m living in Corona, but will be moving out soon. So I settled a goal to visit 30 countries before my 30th birthday.
I have been to 3 countries only by now, unfortunately because of COVID. I’m really excited for reaching this goal!

Besides that, I have some other hobbies as reading -I have a huge collection of books back in my country.- I’m a big fan of Harry Potter, so I have a bunch of different editions, complimentary books, the whole collection in different languages, commemorative editions and lots of merchs + the movies.
Alice in Wonderland was the first book I had and read in life. My daycare teacher gave me that when I was 4! Because of that, I also have Alice in Wonderland in different editions and languages and well, maybe I’m a little crazy about it. 😂

Other thing that I really love is playing games: computer games, mobile games, video games, board games!! I can say that since I went to university and started working I didn’t have as much time as I wish for that, but I still play a few things, as Pokémon Go.

By the way, I have been doing cosplays for a long time! My first cosplay was at the age of 9, I dressed as Pucca and was so cute that I got the first page in a local newspaper. I call them my chosen family.
I always wanted to explore the world and I have always been very independent.
I truly love my family and miss them, but it feels so much better to have my own life! They support all my decisions and they are really proud of who I am. I just think the world is too big to stay in one place.

I’m used to have a busy life, always doing something. I love to go to wherever I can be myself. I love going to the park, doing picnics, playing musical instruments, I LOVE SWIMMING! And of course, I love going to the beach. I love hiking, camping, horseback riding, roller skating. I love going to amusement parks, to music festivals of all kinds, including rave! I go to concerts from black metal bands to pop music. And I’m used to go alone, that’s how I met almost all my friends, including my fiancée.
Even I have been going alone for a long time, I love to have friends and go with them. But I’ll never miss something I really want to do just because I don’t have anyone to go with!

I don’t have any child, and even loving kids, I don’t want or think about having one at least in the next 10 years. I want to be joining a master degree next year and I hope this course helps me with my career and to get prepared for my Masters. I love to study so I’m very excited about everything I’m going to learn here.
