We also have the tradition of sitting down to eat together at least once a week so we can catch up with each other. We also make it a point to go on a vacation somewhere at least every few years. After that happened I was pretty depressed and anxious for a long time because I didn't really know how to cope with the newer emotions that I was feeling. I still have trouble managing my anxiety so I think that  is a clear indicator that this event impacted me.

The 2016 election impacted my life as well because I knew many people on both sides and so it made it hard to communicate with a lot of people when that's all anyone would talk about. I became more aware of the words that were coming out of my mouth no matter who I was talking to because the environment became very volatile and I didn't want to accidentally offend anyone. That has permanently changed me as most of the time still I think a lot about words before they come out of my mouth.

The legalizing of gay marriage has also impacted my life because I know many people who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community so these people around me had their lives changed with that. I also think that my schooling has helped me to become more tolerant and patient because I have been able to interact with many people who don't think the same way that I do. I think that my personalty has changed a lot throughout my first 11 years of school. I used to be very loud and obnoxious and didn't understand social barriers very well. Since that time my personality in my opinion has become very different as I typically go out of my way to not be very loud and to not cause people to become annoyed with me. I think about my interactions with others a lot both while they are happening and after the fact. Many people tell me nowadays that I talk quite quietly and that's because I don't want to seem obnoxious. I think I've also learned how to manage my time better. When I first started high school I didn't care about my grades that much. I cared about them but didn't really go out of my way to make sure that they were good. That's quite opposite from how I am now where I want to make my grades as good as I possibly can. I am also more careful with the way that I approach my teachers now especially when I want something because I know if I cause annoyance then they are way less likely to grant any request that I may have for them. I wish that I would have learned how to feel comfortable when communicating with people but instead I grow more and more nervous in social situations as I'm always afraid that I will say something wrong. I have alway been a big fan of reading since I was a kid and I learned a lot about different ideas and ways of thinking through reading many different types of books as I've grown up. My ability to communicate with people from many different places in the world easily has massively impacted me because I am able to learn many things about many different ways of life around the world and having access to that leads me to be more accepting of many different ways of life. My favorite band BTS comes from South Korea and I am able to access them because of the internet and because of social media such as Twitter. They have made a very large impact on the way that I view the world and this wouldn't have been possible without the technology that I have access to. He inspires many people around the world everyday to do what they love and his words both in his work and just when he's talking provide thoughtful advice to people who are uncertain in their lives and comfort to those who face difficult or uncomfortable situations in which they want to give up. 

Cassie De Pecol is also someone who I find inspirational as shes the first woman to ever travel to every single country on her own. She tries her hardest to spread a message of peace to everyone that she can around the world and tries to show people the similarities between people from all walks of life. I think that many people, women especially can use her as an example and as motivation to achieve the this that they want in life.

Another person that I look up to is Min Yoongi. He is from the same group as the first man that I talked about and like him he also faced a lot of struggle while trying to do what he was passionate about which is creating music. He had a really difficult time earlier in life but worked hard to overcome his obstacles and now he's massively successful and he is doing what he wanted to do.
