The deforestation of the Amazon Rainforest is held mainly accountable by the Brazilian president, Jair Bolsonaro. Since the 1970s, government figures have caused 38 percent of deforestation with large-scale cattle ranching. Pollution affects the ecosystem of sea creatures limiting the food sources, closing of habitats and creating diseases.

Sea creatures hardly know the difference between food and plastic. They swallow the plastic and it results in choking or suffering to death. Sometimes, the animal is lucky and comes across a marine biologist but that rarely happens.

Turtles, dolphins, and whales have been affected the most and have become endangered species. This is called racism. The elders of each tribe have no more children to teach because of The Stolen Generation and that is our fault. They should not be judged in this unforgivably biased way. We need to say no to racism.

We need to respect each other and we need to care about what other people think. The quote “We all bleed the same colour” by Madonna shows how we are all equal and it is wrong to judge someone by the colour of their skin. The Indigenous Australians don’t judge us by the colour of our skin, so why should we?

Some Indigenous languages and tribes have become extinct because we stole a generation of teaching. More than 90%of Indigenous Languages are considered endangered and before the Europeans arrived, there used to be over 800 dialects. Out of 250 turtle eggs, only 200 eggs hatch. From the 200 eggs that hatched, only 100 make it to the water. Then 5 survive to adulthood without human interference.

Human interference includes beach development, nets, poaching, oil, longlines, chemicals and global warming. Unfortunately, out of the 5 turtles that survive till adulthood only 1 survives to breeding age.
