They needed to all be stamped to show they have been payed for. <br><strong>Why did the British pass it? <br></strong>The British passed this act because they needed to pay off their debt for their war with France. <br><strong>How did the colonists react? <br></strong>The colonists reacted by protesting because of Pat rick Henry who convinced the Virginia House of Burgesses had to pass the resolution. <br><br></div>]]></description>
