Museums in general are a great area to know about the country you are in. In addition, it is a very important resource for those who are interested in exploring or writing about history and cultures and also for students researches. In this essay I will discuss why museums should be free or not according to different studies and reasons. 

       One of the most essential reasons which makes museums not free and let the government put a nominal prices on such places for the country economy. In most countries the prices are different from the citizen to the tourist so the tourism helps with determining the price and how much money the government receives from historical sites which is all planned and maintained by experts. Although it is not a large amount of money, it would be a good investment and support for the museum itself. 

      furthermore, museums not only provide historical collections but also provide valuable modern art, that includes paintings,photographs and sculptures that need perpetuate and care which is  an expensive. In Iraq, these fees cover the salaries of most employees working in museums who are responsible for protecting and maintaining the exhibited pieces. There for it is important to have a fees. 

         Finally, museums should be the only for those people who really need it for their research specially the students and teachers because it’s play a main role in getting informations not only educational but also emotional. Teenagers feels more belonging to their community and country when they see how great it is by visiting such places, so that they should have the access to it any time they want. 

      To sum up, the fees is important for all reasons mentioned above, for instance economic development and employees salaries but it should be free for students, learners and experts.
