In other words it's a business created and owned by one person. Making all of the financial and business issue their and only theirs to manage.

Positives: In a way being a lone business owner can be a good thing, if you are not good at bossing around others. You also get to be your own boss and decide what you want to do with your ideas.
Negatives: Owning and running a business by itself can be stressful. With many pressures and duties lying on your back. With no help it can be a huge burden. Also without help it may be hard to help your business grow into something that you could profit and expand off of.

Examples: There are many examples of sole proprietors. Many artists work and manage their art alone. House keepers and babysitters do as well.
