Then, I have other students repeat at least five names...then, I revisit this exercise at different times in the semester. I directly state that it is important to know everyone's name in your class, so you can interact more productively and get to know more people at Mercer.

We have students fill out a bingo card that has different interests or hobbies. This helps them see that the other students in the class aren't so different.
