Lynn said that before the gold rush happened, San Francisco had 400 people in it.  After, it had 25,000 people living there.  She also said that the towns that had the most gold discovered, had the most people. Another piece of information I have gathered is that not just miners got a lot of money during the gold rush.  Some store owners got rich because they had a lot of supplies that the miners needed. The miners needed these supplies fast before everyone else got all of the gold before everyone else did.  The miners would pay any price so that they could get the supplies that they needed.  And one question that I have is that, how did people discover the towns that had gold?
