It was also very crowded so people were conversing with each other about the things they were seeing and reading about. Even though I was so excited to learn about my history I was sad to see the hardships and struggles blacks had to go through for hundreds of years. The only questions I had was, when am I going to come back and experience this again and why did it take so long for a beautiful museum like this to be built in our nation’s capital? I really liked this monument because it is for everyone, not just blacks but for people of all cultures and backgrounds to learn about the nation’s history.
