Miriam - 8 years old

Miriam is an 8-year-old girl. She loves animals, so she always has pictures of them in her notebooks and books. She also has a school bag with a dog shape (silueta).

Her classmates laugh at her (riuen d'ella) calling her animal names, because she is overweight (grassa). They take away (li treuen) her money and snack at the playground.

She has talked with her teachers a lot of times about this, but they haven't done anything to change it. As a consequence, Miriam stopped eating and she ended up (va acabar) at the hospital with anorexia.

Tania - 14 years old

Tania, a 14-year-old teenager (adolescent), has tried to suicide because of the laughs (riures), robberies (robatoris) and aggressions she received from her classmates. She has presented some formal complaints (denuncies) to some of her classmates, but nothing has changed.

She thought the solution was changing the school, but the bullying continued, so she tried to suicide again and was hospitalized.

Arrived at this point, the mother talked to the police, and they finally find the bullies (assetjadors). Since (des que) that day, they stopped bullying her.

Diego - 11 years old

Diego, an 11-year-old boy, was a victim of this bullying in a school of Madrid.

He didn't want to go to school and he was always very sad. Once (una vegada), he lost his voice because of a hit (cop) on the throat (gola) from his classmates.

Finally, Diego talked to his mother and explained her the bullying he was suffering. Her mother went to speak with the school and the problem was solved.

Jairo - 16 years old

Jairo is a 16-year-old boy. He has been suffering (patint) bullying at school because of his physical disability (discapacitat física). He has a prosthetic leg (cama ortopedica) and that is why his classmates are always bullying him.

They constantly push (l'emputxen) and insult him on social networks. That's why Jairo asked to change of school.

Since (des que) Jairo changed of school, everything is going okay. He has made some new friends and now he is happy.

Yaiza - 7 years old

At the age of 7, Yaiza was bullied by her classmates. They continuously insulted, stole (robaven) and hit her, to the point (fins al punt) that she developed a depression.

One day, a child throw her a table, but it did not touch her, luckily.

With this incident, one of the teachers got involved (es va involucrar) in all the problem. He fixed the issue with her classmates, and helped Yaiza to recover (recuperar-se).

Ryan - 14 years old

After years of bullying, Ryan, a 14-year-old boy, decided to suicide because he was gay. It all started because a friend of him posted it on his social network (xarxa social). The post was seen by all the the school.

Because of this, his classmates tease him (es burlaven) and humiliated him every day. Ryan talked to the teachers, but they didn't do anything.

After his death, this situation helped to pass (aprovar) a law (llei) related to the Bullying Prevention. This law has helped a lot of children.
