We will have a scheduling meeting in early September and again in January. At these meetings you choose the Sundays you will lead (1 per month) and assist (1 per month.) The commitment is for the school year - mid September through mid May.  All School Holidays are teacher’s days off.

You can reach out to your team members can trade or cover if something comes up after you make your schedule.

The kids will start out in the Sanctuary with their families. At 9:20am or 11:20am we will sing the kids out of the service.

Circle Leaders meet the kids Family Hallway as they leave the church service to escort the kids to your classroom - *See map for class locations. 

Your supplies and a printed copy of your lesson plan will be in your classroom in a labeled bin. 

The Lead Adult should go down in the classroom first to prepare to greet the kids as they arrive. For Younger Groups they may want to help escort the children to their classroom.

The Session Leader should thoroughly review the Lesson Plan and be prepared to lead the activities.

The Session Assistant is there to support the children and assist as the Leader requests. Some things that Assistant can do to be particularly helpful...

• Escort a young child to the restroom.

• Sit next to a child and gently help them to stay focused on a story or conversation.

• Sit between two children who are distracting each other.

• Be a companion and support for a child with unique needs. If they are unable to stay with the group, accompany them to another part of the room to play in a way that does not distract the group.

• Text Family Ministry Staff if you need help or support for any reason.

• Text the parents of a child who is upset or hurt to let them know that their child needs their support. Do not let a child leave the classroom alone.

• Escort the kids to the playground when the lesson is over so that the Session Leader can tidy up the room.
