This effects all areas of development. Poor nutrition affects the brain and body effecting intellectual and physical development. If the child is at a lower level than peers then this may lead to bullying, affecting emotional and social development. If the child is being bullied then this is going to affect how much the child is socializing this would then impact language. Maslow's theory is about how the basic needs effect development and learning. And without those needs then the child is not going to progress and develop thus making it link to this article.

http://theconversation.com/how-culture-influences-childrens-development-99791 This article links to bronfenbrenner’s theory as this article underpins how different aspects of culture and culture itself effects a child and how they develop. The article explains that the experiences of certain culture develop children in certain ways as they uptake input from their environment and experiences around them. A main point in this article is language and what it focuses In order to determine how children think and respond to situations which is different for each culture. The article also mentions the link between parenting and the environment as it is believed that parents are the ones that prepare children for interaction with the wider community and also explains how children’s upbringing then leads towards certain behaviours and responses. this also links to practice as it shows how it is important to have a strong relationship with parents in the setting but also allows the setting to adapt to the differences between children that are from different cultures
